Overcome Your Own Laziness

Laziness sometimes just feels so good, it’s hard to motivate yourself to do anything about it; until now.

We’ve all been there: we’re lying on the couch watching nothing in particular, our mind and heart are telling us that we should do something. Anything. But our body does not respond and chooses laziness. Suddenly your fitness dreams look like they’re a thing of the past, and your goals will remain empty. If only there were a way you could motivate yourself into actually doing something rewarding. There is! Here are great ways you can overcome your laziness. (Note: curing laziness is not easy and will take a great effort on YOUR part.)

  1. Break Your Habits
What do you do when you get home from work? If you throw your keys on the table and head straight for the couch, you should break this habit. Go on a run or hit the gym; finalize those goals!
  2. Practice Your Hobbies
Work can become repetitive and drain the life out of you. It’s important that you have some hobbies to keep you from feeling this way because many people fill that emptiness by sitting on the couch and watching reruns of Seinfeld (which, doesn’t sound too bad if done only every once in while). Write that book, build a table, go hiking, read. Whatever makes you feel accomplished, do that thing!
  3. Value Your Work
While doing your hobbies is important, you spend (or will spend) the majority of your life working. You best enjoy it. Make a list of accomplishments and feel good about them. Cynical behavior will only make your work seem less rewarding.

Enjoying life isn’t impossible, but it doesn’t come without its efforts. Finding the right short term health insurance policy doesn’t have to be difficult when working with the right insurance agent.  Contact the insurance professionals at Donald Weiss Insurance Services in Santa Monica for all of your health care needs throughout Southern California.
